Born 1960, KyivSidersky studied at Naum Ostanshinsky's School of Fine Art for Children and Youth, 1964-1968 and Kyiv Institute of Fine Arts, 1968-1977. In 1978 the artist began practising yoga which had a great influence on his style of painting. As a result of this, Sidersky developed a new type of art that became known as a Psychotronic Art or PSIART. |

Dedicated to exploring the impact of different physical and mental states on perceptions of reality, Psychotronic Art is seen as an outcome of exact awareness and initially focused on paintings' affect on a person -- an energy that reaches the viewers as they are gradually urged into activity. For a while the paintings are easy on the eye; devoid of any superfluous elements, the mind doesn't need to work but steadily absorbs the atmosphere of existence, which spreads out from the image. |
